On the 21st of June, Venture Cup Denmark hosted the final Award Show of the National Startup Competition. Students, startups, and a large part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem came together at IDA to celebrate the announcement of Denmark’s best university startup 2023.
The overall winner and the winner of the Green category was Anemo Robotics from the Technical University of Denmark. Anemo Robotics is a company specializing in assessing the effects of offshore activities on marine life and biodiversity. Besides winning the category and the overall prize, Anemo Robotics also won 10.000DKK when they were selected as the Audience Favourite through voting by the crowd.

After winning the Green category, Anemo Robotics pitched in front of a crowded room and the VIP jury; Co-founder and CEO of Swap Language, Nichlas Walsted, CEO of Nordic Makers, Nima Tisdall, Founder and CVO of Copenhagen Cartel, Katrine Lee Larsen, and co-founder and co-vice chairman of 3Shape, Nikolaj Deichmann, on the night of the 22nd June.
Besides a lot of credit, Anemo Robotics took home a total of 130.000 DKK and can now look forward to strategy sessions with McKinsey & Co and a storytelling workshop with Copus, before they move on to participate in the University Startup World Cup, which they have also qualified for.

The winner of the social category was Linucare from Aalborg University. Linucare is a free alarm app, with a panic button both physical and in the app that notifies and navigates your relatives to you, in an emergency.

The Product Category was won by Drinksaver ApS from the Technical University of Denmark. The innovative drinkware by Drinksaver minimizes spillage without impairing
the drinking experience. The aesthetic drinking glass and our hidden lid make it possible to drink as it is lid-less.

The Health Category winner was EchoVice from University of Southern Denmark. The team improves echocardiography images by stabilising ultrasound probes.

Finally, the Digital Category was won by the startup rapidcreative.io from the Technical University of Denmark. rapidcreative.io makes video creation simple. They allow you to create video content with brand data straight from your website.
All category winners won a prize of 20.000 DKK, a spot in the next University Startup World Cup and consultancy sessions with McKinsey.
