On June 6th, Venture Cup Denmark hosted the Grand Award Ceremony for the National Startup Competition. At IDA, students, startups, and key players in the entrepreneurial community gathered to honor the announcement of Denmark’s top university startup of 2024. The finalists showcased their pitches to an esteemed CEO at the Link & Startup Aarhus, Mette Hoberg Tønnesen, Monta CEO and co-founder, Casper H. Rasmussen, and Otto Mønsteds Fond CEO, Nina Movin.
The overall winner and the winner of the Green category was from BÆTA Carbon Solutions from the University of Copenhagen. BÆTA Carbon Solutions revolutionizes carbon capture with solutions derived from PET waste.

Besides a lot of credit, BÆTA Carbon Solutions took home a total of 120.000 DKK and can now look forward to strategy sessions with McKinsey & Co and a shoot with CoHo – The Content House, before they move on to participate in the University Startup World Cup, which they have also qualified for.

The winner of the Health category was Pull & Go from Aalborg University. The startup offers a detachable traction function for manual wheelchair users.

The Digital Category was won by Patentopia from the IT University. Their focus is to streamline innovation journeys with AI-powered patent analysis.

The Product Category winner was PERFI Technologies from Technical University of Denmark. The team revolutionizes personalized device production with volumetric printing.

The Social Category winner was Fireraven from Technical University of Denmark. Fireraven specializes in developing advanced tools and analytics for enhancing and understanding AI models.
All category winners won 20.000 DKK and consultancy sessions with McKinsey & Company. The audience favorite startup was selected PERFi Technologies.
